Biography
John Robusto is a former, career government official, serving as an Intelligence, Engineering,
and Acquisition professional. He has deep experience in assisting senior business leaders and
owners in evaluating the market for, and use of, advanced technologies in federal government
applications, and in navigating the procurement process at both the agency and congressional
levels.
He is internationally recognized as an expert in technology, space systems, surveillance,
reconnaissance, and intelligence fusion. As an inventor of highly advanced technologies, he
holds multiple US patents in information fusion, space systems, and methods to counter
transnational organized crime. In government, and in the private sector, he has direct
multinational experience working in thirty-five counties on six continents, in support of US and
allied interests.
His career in government work placed him at the highest echelons of the defense and intelligence
communities, directly involved in all aspects of applications of advanced technologies, and in
acquisition and procurement planning and budgeting for future expansion and development of
same for multiple agencies and in diverse contexts. For the US Navy, he served as Special
(Information Operations) Executive to the Chief of Naval Operations, executing strategies and
operations on behalf of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In that capacity, he defined
and executed partnerships with multiple US agencies, departments, and other governments. For
US Naval Aviation, he served as Executive Director, Intelligence and Special Programs, and
Chief Technology Officer, with Naval Air Systems Command, as the senior Naval Aviation
official for all matters in technology, intelligence, and special operations, and acquisitions. For
the US Marine Corps, he performed the same range of services in his capacity as Deputy
Commander, C4ISR and Technology, with the Marine Corps Systems Command. Another
significant role was with the National Reconnaissance Office, Senior Member of the leadership
team, SIGNIT Directorate, Assistant Director for Programs, Collection Systems Group Chief,
and as Chief, Architecture Division.
In the private sector, he has served as CEO of a US company providing software technology for
secure communications, as well as cyber penetration assessment large scale data analytics for
both government and major companies in multiple, diverse industries. He was responsible for a
broad investment portfolio, and for overseeing all international operations, including partnerships
with major, international telecommunications companies. He also served as CEO and member of
the board of directors of a London-based technology company, including oversight of a portfolio
of multiple US and other subsidiary businesses, with duties that included management to meet
financial and profitability goals, as well as planning and executing mergers and acquisitions.
John holds numerous degrees, including Harvard Business School, Advanced Management
